۞ We said to Moses: "Travel by night with My creatures. You will surely be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities (to mobilise troops) 53 [And said], "Indeed, those are but a small band, 54 And most surely they have enraged us; 55 and we are a host on our guard.' 56 So We made them leave the gardens and springs of water, 57 treasures, and graceful dwellings. 58 even so, and We bequeathed them upon the Children of Israel. 59 So the Firaun’s people followed them at sunrise. 60 When the two forces drew within seeing distance of each other, the people of Moses said: "We shall certainly be overtaken." 61 (Moses) said: "By no means! my Lord is with me! Soon will He guide me!" 62 Thereupon We inspired Moses thus: Strike the sea with thy staff!" - whereupon it parted, and each part appeared like a mountain vast. 63 And there We brought the others on, 64 And We saved Musa (Moses) and all those with him. 65 and then We caused the others to drown. 66 Indeed in this is surely a sign, and most of them were not Muslims. 67 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
