۞ And We inspired Moses, saying: Take away My slaves by night, for ye will be pursued. 52 So Firon sent heralds into the cities; 53 "These," they said, "are only a small band, 54 "And they are raging furiously against us; 55 "But we are host all assembled, amply forewarned." 56 We therefore got them out from the gardens and water springs. 57 And from treasures and nice houses. 58 Thus we let the Israelites inherit them all. 59 But they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two parties saw each other, the companions of Musa said: verily we are overtaken. 61 [Moses] said, "No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me." 62 Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. 63 Then We brought the others to that place. 64 We delivered Moses and every one with him, 65 And We drowned the others. 66 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 67 And lo, thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
