۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 So Firon sent heralds into the cities; 53 (Proclaiming): "Surely they are a small band (of fugitives). 54 “And indeed they have angered all of us.” 55 And most surely we are a vigilant multitude. 56 So We expelled them from gardens, springs, 57 And treasures and honorable station - 58 Thus it was, but We made the Children of Israel inheritors of such things. 59 And so [the Egyptians] caught up with them at sunrise; 60 So when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa cried out: Most surely we are being overtaken. 61 He replied: Nay indeed! My Sustainer is with me, [and] He will guide me!" 62 Then We revealed to Moses: 'Strike the sea with your staff', so it divided and each part was as a mighty mount. 63 And We caused the pursuers to draw near unto that place: 64 We delivered Moses and all who were with him; 65 and then We caused the others to drown. 66 In this there was certainly evidence (of the Truth), but most of them did not have any faith. 67 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 68
