۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 The Pharaoh sent word to all the cities saying, 53 saying: "These (Israelites) are only a small band of people 54 And most surely they have enraged us; 55 But we are a fully accounted army." 56 So We made them leave their gardens and springs, 57 their treasures and a noble station. 58 As such we gave it to the Children of Israel. 59 And so [the Egyptians] caught up with them at sunrise; 60 So when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa cried out: Most surely we are being overtaken. 61 Moses said, "Certainly not. My Lord is with me and He will certainly guide me." 62 Thereupon We inspired Moses thus: Strike the sea with thy staff!" - whereupon it parted, and each part appeared like a mountain vast. 63 And We brought near, there, the others. 64 and We saved Moses and those who were with him together, 65 then, We drowned the others. 66 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 truly, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 68
