Relate the news of Abraham to them. 69 when he asked his father and his people: "What do you worship?" 70 They replied: 'We worship idols and continue cleaving to them' 71 Said he: "Do [you really think that] they hear you when you invoke them, 72 Or do they benefit you, or do you harm?" 73 They exclaimed: But we found our forefathers doing the same!" 74 Said [Abraham]: "Have you, then, ever considered what it is that you have been worshipping 75 Ye and your fathers of old? 76 They are enemies to me except the Lord of all the Worlds 77 who has created me and is the One who guides me, 78 Who gives me food and drink, 79 He who cures me when I am ill; 80 And Who causeth me to die, then giveth me life (again), 81 and who I am eager shall forgive me my offence on the Day of Doom. 82 “My Lord, bestow me the command and join me with those who deserve your proximity.” 83 “And give me proper fame among the succeeding generations.” 84 and place me amongst the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss. 85 And forgive my father. Lo! he is of those who err. 86 And humiliate me not on the Day whereon people shall be raised. 87 the Day when wealth and sons will be of no avail, 88 except what is done in obedience to God with a submissive heart. 89 And Paradise will be brought close for the pious. 90 And hell will be revealed for the astray. 91 And it shall be said unto them where is that which ye were wont to worship? 92 besides God? Will the idols help you? Can they help themselves?" 93 Then they shall be hurled therein, they and the seduced ones. 94 And all the armies of Iblis. (Satan) 95 They will say while contending therein, 96 "We were clearly misguided 97 When we made you equal to the Lord of the worlds; 98 "'And our seducers were only those who were steeped in guilt. 99 Now we have no intercessors, 100 Nor any loving friend. 101 Then if we only had a return [to the world] and could be of the believers... " 102 In all this, behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 103 Your Lord is certainly Majestic and All-merciful. 104

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
