The people of Noah gave the lie to the Messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said to them: "Will you not take heed? 106 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 107 Have fear of God and obey me. 108 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds: 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 Noah said: "What knowledge do I have about their deeds? 112 My Lord alone can bring them to account, if only you could understand, 113 And I am not (here) to repulse believers. 114 I am only a plain warner. 115 They said: if thou desistest not, thou shalt surely be of those stoned. 116 He said: "O my Lord! truly my people have rejected me. 117 Then judge between me and them with decisive judgement and save me and those with me of the believers." 118 And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 and drowned the others. 120 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 121 Your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
