Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ HAVE WE NOT opened up thy heart, 1 And eased thee of the burden 2 which had been a heavy weight upon your back 3 And did We not exalt your fame? 4 For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 When you are free from (your obligations), strive hard (to worship God) 7 And unto thine Lord, attend. 8
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
