[AND] the people of Lot gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 160 When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 161 "Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 163 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 164 What, do you come to the males of the world, 165 leaving aside those whom Allah has created for you as your mates. Nay, you are a people that has transgressed all limits." 166 Said they: "Indeed, If thou desist not, O Lot, thou wilt most certainly be expelled [from this township]!" 167 He said: verily I am of those who abhor your work. 168 My Lord! deliver me and my household from that which they work. 169 We saved him and all of his family 170 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 171 and then We utterly destroyed the others, 172 We rained upon them a rain, and evil is the rain (of stones) on those that are warned. 173 Surely, in that there is a sign. Yet most of them do not believe. 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175
