The people of Lut belied the sent ones. 160 when their brother Lot said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 161 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 162 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 163 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 leaving your wives that your Lord created for you? Nay, but you are a people of transgressors. 166 They said: if thou desistest not, O Lut! thou shalt surely be of those driven forth. 167 He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. 168 My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do." 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 Except one old woman, who stayed behind. 171 and then We utterly destroyed the others, 172 and rained down upon them a rain [of destruction]: and dire is such rain upon all who let themselves be warned [to no avail]! 173 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
