Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 till a known term decreed? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
