The people of Lot rejected the Messengers. 160 when their brother Lot said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger. 162 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 163 I seek of you no reward. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 instead of your wives, whom your Lord has created specially for you? You are a transgressing people." 166 'Lot' they replied, 'if you do not desist, you shall be thrown out' 167 He said: "I am, indeed, of those who disapprove with severe anger and fury your (this evil) action (of sodomy). 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 We therefore rescued him and his entire family. 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 174 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 175
