Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 164 What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, 165 leaving your wives that your Lord created for you? Nay, but you are a people of transgressors. 166 They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted." 167 He said, "I certainly hate what you practice. 168 My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do." 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 171 and then We utterly destroyed the others, 172 We rained upon them a rain, and evil is the rain (of stones) on those that are warned. 173 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 174 Yet surely your Lord is mighty and powerful. 175
