The people of Lut belied the sent ones. 160 When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 161 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" 166 They said, "Lot, if you do not give up preaching, you will certainly be expelled (from this town)". 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 My Lord! deliver me and my household from that which they work. 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. 173 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 174 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 175
