The dwellers of Al-Aiyka [near Madyan (Midian)] belied the Messengers. 176 When Shuaib said to all of them, “Do you not fear?” 177 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 And I ask of you no wage for it; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure, do not be among the cheats, 181 And weigh with the true balance. 182 “And do not give the people their goods diminished, and do not roam the earth causing turmoil.” 183 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." 184 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful." 187 He said, 'My Lord knows very well what you are doing.' 188 But they denied him, so there came on them the retribution of the day of gloom. Lo! it was the retribution of an awful day. 189 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 191
