[AND] the dwellers of the wooded dales [of Madyan] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 176 When Shuaib said to all of them, “Do you not fear?” 177 I am a trustworthy Messengers. 178 So fear God and follow me. 179 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who give less (than the due). 181 and [in all your dealings] weigh with a true balance, 182 "And defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land. 183 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." 184 They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 "Now cause a piece of the sky to fall on us, if thou art truthful!" 187 Answered [Shu'ayb]: "My Sustainer knows fully well what you are doing." 188 But they denied him, so there came on them the retribution of the day of gloom. Lo! it was the retribution of an awful day. 189 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 190 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 191
