The dwellers of the forest also rejected the Messengers. 176 When Shu'aib (Shuaib) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah (and obey Him)? 177 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ "[Always] give full measure, and be not among those who [unjustly] cause loss [to others]; 181 weigh with an even balance 182 do not defraud people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not spread corruption in the land. 183 Have fear of the One who has created you and the generations that lived before you." 184 They replied: 'You are surely one of those bewitched. 185 thou art naught but a mortal, like us; indeed, we think that thou art one of the liars. 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 He said: "My Lord is the Best Knower of what you do." 188 Then they belied him; wherefore there laid hold of them the torment of day of shadow. Verily it was the torment of a Mighty Day. 189 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 191
