The dwellers of the forest also rejected the messengers. 176 Behold, Shu'aib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 180 ۞ "Maintain just measure in your business and do not cause loss to others. 181 "And weigh with the true and straight balance. 182 and do not diminish the goods of the people, and do not make mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 Fear Him who created you and those who have gone before you." 184 They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched; 185 You are nothing but a man like us, and we think you are a liar. 186 “Therefore cause a part of the sky to fall upon us, if you are of the truthful.” 187 He said: 'My Lord knows what you are doing' 188 But they gave him the lie. And thereupon suffering overtook them on a day dark with shadows: and verily, it was the suffering of an awesome day! 189 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 190 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 191
