And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 The honest Spirit (Gabriel) brought it down 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 In the plain Arabic language. 195 And verily it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned scholars (like 'Abdullah bin Salam who embraced Islam) of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it. 199 Even so We have caused it to enter into the hearts of the sinners, 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 It will come upon them suddenly when they are not expecting it. 202 They will say, "Can we be granted any respite?" 203 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 204 Beholdest thou? if We let them enjoy for years. 205 And then the promise that is given to them, does come upon them- 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 We never destroyed any town without first sending to them warning and guidance. 208 for a reminder, and We never harmed. 209 And [this divine writ is such a reminder:] no evil spirits have brought it down: 210 nor does it behove them, nor does it lie in their power. 211 Verily far from hearing are they removed. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 Warn your tribe and your near kinsmen. 214 And lower thy wing to the Believers who follow thee. 215 but if they disobey thee, say: "I am free of responsibility for aught that you may do!" 216 Have trust in the Majestic and All-merciful God, 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 and [sees] thy behaviour among those who prostrate themselves [before Him]: 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets -- the perverse follow them; 224 Have you not seen how they wander in every valley, 225 And that they say that which they do not? 226 Save those who believe and do good works, and remember Allah much, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged. Those who do wrong will come to know by what a (great) reverse they will be overturned! 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
