And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 The Faithful Spirit has descended with it, 193 Upon your heart (O Muhammad SAW) that you may be (one) of the warners, 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 Truly, it is in the Books of the ancients. 196 Is it not a Sign to them - (to wit, the Makkans) - that the learned men of the Children of Israel know that? 197 If We had sent it down on a barbarian 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 and they will say, 'Shall we be respited?' 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 Did you consider that if We were to let them enjoy life for many years 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 what avail will their past enjoyments be to them? 207 Never have We destroyed a town without sending down messengers to warn it, 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 they are not supposed to do so. Nor do have they the ability for such a task. 211 Verily far from hearing are they removed. 212 So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished. 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 and lower your wing to the believers who follow you. 215 but if they disobey thee, say: "I am free of responsibility for aught that you may do!" 216 And rely thou upon the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 who sees thee when thou standest 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 Surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every sinful, false one. 222 The satans try to listen to the heavens but many of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Do you not see that in every valley they roam 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 [Most of them are of this kind] save those who have attained to faith, and do righteous deeds, and remember God unceasingly, and defend themselves [only] after having been wronged, and [trust in God's promise that] those who are bent on wrongdoing will in time come to know how evil a turn their destinies are bound to take! 227
