Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, 192 The Trustworthy Spirit brought it down. (Angel Jibreel – peace be upon him.) 193 To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish. 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And lo! it is in the Scriptures of the men of old. 196 And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 In this wise have We made way for it into the hearts of the culprits. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 Then they will exclaim, "Could we have some respite?" 203 Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 And never did We destroy a township which did not have Heralds of warning, – 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 And admonish thy nearest kinsmen, 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 And if they disobey thee, say thou: verily I am quit of that which ye work. 216 Put your trust in the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 217 who sees thee when thou standest 218 and when you turn among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They descend upon every sinful liar. 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, only those who go astray follow them. 224 Have you not seen them wandering and bewildered in every valley 225 And that they say what they do not do? - 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
