Alshu'araa' 11 of 11
This surely is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe: 192 Which the trustworthy Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought down; 193 To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish. 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 Is it not a token for them that the doctors of the Children of Israel know it? 197 If We had sent it down on a barbarian 198 they would still not have believed in it. 199 In this wise have We made way for it into the hearts of the culprits. 200 they will not believe in it till they behold the grievous suffering 201 But the (Penalty) will come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 They will say, "Can we be granted any respite?" 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 Tell Me, if We do let them enjoy for years, 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 That which they were made to enjoy shall not avail them? 207 And never did We destroy a township which did not have Heralds of warning, – 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 It was not the devils who brought down the Quran: 210 it behoves them not, neither are they able. 211 Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 Warn your close relatives 214 and extend kindness and affection to those of the believers who follow you. 215 And if they (thy kinsfolk) disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. 216 Put your trust in the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who seeth thee standing forth (in prayer), 218 and [sees] thy behaviour among those who prostrate themselves [before Him]: 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend upon every calumniator, sinner. 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, only those who go astray follow them. 224 Do you not see that in every valley they roam 225 and that they [so often] say what they do not do [or feel]? 226 Save those who believed and worked righteous works and remembered Allah much, and vindicated themselves after they had been wronged. And anon those who do wrong shall come to know with what a translating they shall be translated. 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
