And this Qur'an is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down 193 To your heart that you may be a warner 194 In the perspicuous Arabic tongue. 195 This is indicated in the Books of earlier people. 196 And was this not a sign for them, that the scholars of the Descendants of Israel may recognise this Prophet? 197 And if We had revealed it unto one of any other nation than the Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Even so, We have caused it to enter into the hearts of harmdoers: 200 they will not believe in it until they see the grievous punishment. 201 But the (Penalty) will come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 They will say, "Can we be granted any respite?" 203 Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited? 204 Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years 205 Then there comes to them that with which they are threatened, 206 what avail will their past enjoyments be to them? 207 And We destroyed no township but it had its warners 208 for a reminder; and never did We wrong. 209 No evil ones have brought down this (Revelation): 210 it is not for them, nor are they able. 211 Verily far from hearing are they removed. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 And warn thy clan, thy nearest kin. 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 So if they do not obey you, then say, "Indeed I am unconcerned with what you do." 216 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 And your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves before Allah. 219 Surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They descend on every forgerer steeped in sin, 222 who readily lend ear [to every falsehood,] and most of whom lie to others as well. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 See you not that they speak about every subject (praising others right or wrong) in their poetry? 225 And that they say that which they do not do, 226 Save those who believe and do good works, and remember Allah much, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged. Those who do wrong will come to know by what a (great) reverse they will be overturned! 227
