The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 and those that blow gently, 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 then he mustered 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 you pay attention 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
