The unbelievers say: 'When we and our fathers are turned to dust, shall we be brought forth? 67 We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before. This is not but legends of the former peoples." 68 Say: "Go ye through the earth and see what has been the end of those guilty (of sin)." 69 And grieve thou not over them nor be straitened because of that which they plot. 70 And they say: When will this threat come to pass, if you are truthful? 71 Say: "Perhaps that which you wish to hasten on, may be close behind you. 72 Indeed Your Lord is exceedingly bountiful to mankind. Yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 Your Lord certainly knows whatever their hearts conceal or reveal. 74 for there is nothing [so deeply] hidden in the heavens or on earth but is recorded in [His] clear decree. 75 This Quran tells the Israelites most of the matters about which they had disputes among themselves. 76 And it certainly is a Guide and a Mercy to those who believe. 77 Verily, your Lord will decide between them (various sects) by His Judgement. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. 78 So put your trust in Allah; surely, you (O Muhammad SAW) are on manifest truth. 79 Indeed, you will not make the dead hear, nor will you make the deaf hear the call when they have turned their backs retreating. 80 Nor can you lead the blind out of their error, you can only make to hear those who believe in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and who have submitted (themselves to Allah in Islam as Muslims). 81 ۞ And when the Word (promise) appears upon them, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth to speak to them – because the people were not accepting faith in Our signs. (This beast will rise from the earth, when the Last Day draws near.) 82
