Al-Ankaboot 7 of 7

The worldly life is not more than a childish game. It is the life hereafter which will be the real life, if only they knew it. 64 And so, when they embark on a ship [and find themselves in danger,] they call unto God, [at that moment] sincere in their faith in Him alone; but as soon as He has brought them safe ashore, they [begin to] ascribe to imaginary powers a share in His divinity: 65 And thus they may show utter ingratitude for Our favours; let them enjoy themselves for a time. But they will soon come to know. 66 Do they not see that We have made a sacred territory secure, while men are carried off by force from around them? Will they still believe in the falsehood and disbelieve in the favour of Allah? 67 And who is a greater wrong-doer than he who fabricateth a lie against Allah or belieth the truth when it cometh unto him. Will there not be in the Hell an abiding-place for the infidels? 68 And those who strove in Our way – We shall surely show them Our paths; and indeed Allah is with the virtuous. 69
