Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif-Lam-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 These are the verses of the Book of wisdom, 2 As guidance and mercy for the doers of good 3 Those who keep the prayer established and pay the charity and accept faith in the Hereafter. 4 Such are on guidance from their Lord, and such are the successful. 5 But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge (or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on the Path): for such there will be a Humiliating Penalty. 6 And when Our revelations are recited unto him he turneth away in his stiff-neckedness as though he heard them not: as though there was a deafness in his ears. So announce thou unto him a torment afflictive. 7 Surely those who believe and do good deeds shall have Gardens of Bliss. 8 To dwell therein. The promise of Allah is true: and He is Exalted in Power, Wise. 9 He has created the heavens without any pillars, that you see and has set on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with you. And He has scattered therein moving (living) creatures of all kinds. And We send down water (rain) from the sky, and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. 10 This is the creation of God. Show me what those whom you consider equal to God have created. In fact, the unjust ones are in plain error. 11
