Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
AlifLaamMeem. 1 These are verses of the Wise Book. 2 A guidance and a mercy for the well-doers: 3 Who establish prayer and give zakah, and they, of the Hereafter, are certain [in faith]. 4 They follow the guidance of their Lord and they will have everlasting happiness. 5 There are some people who would purchase distracting talk, to lead astray from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and take it in mockery; for those is a humiliating punishment. 6 And when Our Verses (of the Quran) are recited to such a one, he turns away in pride, as if he heard them not, as if there were deafness in his ear. So announce to him a painful torment. 7 Surely for those who believe and do the right are pleasure gardens. 8 They will abide in them for ever. The promise of God is true; and He is all-mighty and all-wise. 9 He has created the heavens without any pillars, that you see and has set on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with you. And He has scattered therein moving (living) creatures of all kinds. And We send down water (rain) from the sky, and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. 10 Such is the creation of Allah; now show me what, other than Him, created! No, the harmdoers are in clear error. 11
