Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif, Lam, Meem. 1 The revelation of the Book is, without doubt, from the Lord Of The Creation. 2 Or do they say, "He invented it"? Rather, it is the truth from your Lord, [O Muhammad], that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you [so] perhaps they will be guided. 3 It is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two, in six days, and then He established Himself on the Throne. You have no guardian or intercessor other than He. Will you, then, not take heed? 4 He directeth the ordinance from the heaven unto the earth; then it ascendeth unto Him in a Day, whereof the measure is a thousand years of that ye reckon. 5 He is the Knower of the Unseen and the Visible, the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 6 who has created all things well. And He originated the creation of man out of clay, 7 Then He made his offspring from semen of worthless water (male and female sexual discharge). 8 Then He fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him the soul (created by Allah for that person), and He gave you hearing (ears), sight (eyes) and hearts. Little is the thanks you give! 9 And they said, “When we have mingled into the earth, will we be created again?”; in fact they disbelieve in the meeting with their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: The angel of death, who hath charge concerning you, will gather you, and afterward unto your Lord ye will be returned. 11
