Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 The revelation of the Book is, without doubt, from the Lord Of The Creation. 2 Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayst warn a folk to whom no warner came before thee, that haply they may walk aright. 3 It was Allah, who, in six days created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and then willed to the Throne. You have no guardian nor intercessor other than Him. Will you not remember? 4 He rules (all) affairs from the heavens to the earth: in the end will (all affairs) go up to Him, on a Day, the space whereof will be (as) a thousand years of your reckoning. 5 He is the Knower of the Unseen and the Visible, the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 6 Who made everything He has created good, and He began the creation of man from clay. 7 Then made his offspring from the extract of base fluid, 8 then He duly proportioned him, and breathed into him of His spirit, and bestowed upon you ears and eyes and hearts. And yet, little thanks do you give. 9 And they say: "What! when we lie, hidden and lost, in the earth, shall we indeed be in a Creation renewed? Nay, they deny the Meeting with their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: "The Angel of Death, put in charge of you, will (duly) take your souls: then shall ye be brought back to your Lord." 11
