Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 The revelation of this Book free of doubt and involution is from the Lord of all the worlds. 2 Or do they say, "He has forged it"? Nay, it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayest admonish a people to whom no warner has come before thee: in order that they may receive guidance. 3 It was Allah, who, in six days created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and then willed to the Throne. You have no guardian nor intercessor other than Him. Will you not remember? 4 He disposeth every affair from the heaven unto the earth; thereafter it shall ascend unto Him in a Day the measure whereof is one thousand years of that which ye compute. 5 He is the Knower of the Unseen and the Visible, the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 6 It is He Who created everything in the best manner and began the creation of the human being from clay. 7 Then He made his posterity out of the extract of a liquid disdained. 8 Then He moulded him; He breathed His Spirit into him; He gave you hearing, sight, and hearts. How seldom you are grateful! 9 They have said, "How can we be brought to life again after we have been lost in the earth?" In fact, they have no faith in the Day of Judgment 10 ۞ Say: "The Angel of Death, put in charge of you, will (duly) take your souls: then shall ye be brought back to your Lord." 11
