Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 The revelation of the Book is, without doubt, from the Lord Of The Creation. 2 Do they say, "He has invented it himself."? No indeed! It is the truth from your Lord to warn a people to whom, before you, no warner came, so that hopefully they may be rightly guided. 3 It is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two, in six days, and then He established Himself on the Throne. You have no guardian or intercessor other than He. Will you, then, not take heed? 4 He regulates the affair from the heaven to the earth; then shall it ascend to Him in a day the measure of which is a thousand years of what you count. 5 Such is He, the Knower of all things, hidden and open, the Exalted (in power), the Merciful;- 6 who has created all things well. And He originated the creation of man out of clay, 7 Then kept his posterity with a part of an abject fluid. 8 and then He forms him in accordance with what he is meant to be, and breathes into him of His spirit: and [thus, O men,] He endows you with hearing, and sight, and feelings as well as minds: [yet] how seldom are you grateful! 9 And they say: when we are vanished in the earth, shall we then be raised in a new creation? Aye! in the meeting with their Lord they are disbelieving. 10 ۞ Proclaim, “The angel of death, who is appointed over you, causes you to die and then towards your Lord you will return.” 11
