And could you but see when the guilty shall hang down their heads before their Lord: Our Lord! we have seen and we have heard, therefore send us back, we will do good; surely (now) we are certain. 12 Had We intended We could have given every soul its guidance; but inevitable is My word that I will fill up Hell with men and jinns together. 13 So now suffer. As you forgot the meeting of this your Day of Doom, so have We forgotten you. Now taste the everlasting punishment for your deeds. 14 The only people who believe in Our revelations are those who, when reminded about them, bow down in prostration and glorify their Lord with His praise without pride. ۩ 15 Their sides leave off the couches calling upon their Lord in fear and in desire, and of that wherewith We have provided them they expend. 16 No person knows what is kept hidden for them of joy as a reward for what they used to do. 17 Is he who is a believer like unto him who is an evil-liver? They are not alike. 18 And as for those who believe and work rigteous works - for them are Gardens of Abode: an entertainment for that which they have been working. 19 But those who do evil their refuge is the Fire. As often as they desire to come out of it they shall be driven back, and it will be said to them: 'Taste the punishment of the Fire, which you have belied' 20 But We will let them taste the nearest punishment (in this life) before the greater punishment, so that they may return (to faith). 21 And who is more unjust than he who is given good counsel through the Signs of his Lord and yet he turns away from them? Surely We will exact full retribution from such criminals. 22
