O you who believe! Remember Allah with much remembrance. 41 and glorify Him both in the mornings and in the evenings. 42 It is He who has mercy on you, and His angels to bring you out from the darkness into light. He is the Most Merciful to the believers. 43 Their greeting on the day they meet Him will be: "Peace;" and He has a generous reward ready for them. 44 Prophet! verily We have sent thee a witness and a bearer of glad tidings and a warner. 45 And as one inviting to Allah by His permission, and as a light-giving torch. 46 And announce unto the believers the good tidings that they will have great bounty from Allah. 47 Do not listen to the unbelievers and the hypocrites. Ignore what they do to hurt you, and put your trust in God. God is sufficient as protector. 48 O believers, when you marry believing women and then divorce them before you touch them, you have no period to reckon against them; so make provision for them, and set them free with kindliness. 49 O Prophet, We have made lawful to you the wives to whom you have given dowries and those whom your right hand possesses, of whatever spoils of war that Allah has given you; and the daughters of your paternal uncles and paternal aunts, and of your paternal and maternal aunts who migrated with you; and any believing woman who gives herself to the Prophet, if the Prophet wishes to take her in marriage. This is only for you and not any other believer. We know the duties We have imposed on them concerning their wives and those whom their right hand possesses, so that there should be no fault in you. Allah is the Forgiving and Merciful. 50 ۞ Thou mayest put off such of them as thou wilt, and thou mayest take unto thee such of them as thou wilt; and whomsoever thou desirest if such as thou hadst set aside there is no blame upon thee. This is likelier to cool their eyes and not let them grieve and to keep them pleased with whatsoever thou shalt give every one of them. Allah knoweth that which is in your hearts, and Allah is ever Knowing, Forbearing. 51 It shall be unlawful for you to take more wives or to exchange your present wives for other women, though their beauty pleases you, except those whom your right hand possesses. Allah is watchful over everything. 52
