Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 By the Wise Koran, 2 Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messengers, 3 On a right way. 4 This is a revelation sent down from the Majestic and All-merciful 5 That thou mayst warn a folk whose fathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 6 Undoubtedly, it (their disbelief) has proved true for most of them, so they will not believe. 7 Indeed, We have put shackles on their necks, and they are to their chins, so they are with heads [kept] aloft. 8 And We have placed before them a barrier and behind them a barrier, so We have covered them, so that they see not. 9 Alike it is to them whether thou hast warned them or thou hast not warned them, they do not believe. 10 Thou canst warn only him who followeth the admonition and feareth the Compassionate, unseen. So bear thou unto him the glad tidings of forgiveness and a generous hire. 11 Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have enumerated in a clear register. 12
