Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
YA SIN. 1 I call to witness the Qur'an, custodian of all laws, -- 2 verily, thou art indeed one of God's message-bearers, 3 upon a Straight Path. 4 A revelation from the mighty, ever-merciful (God), 5 so that you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned, and so were heedless. 6 The word has been proved true against the greater part of them: they will not believe. 7 Verily We have placed on their necks shackles which are up to the chins; so that their heads are forced up. 8 And We have set a wall before them and a wall behind them, and covered the top – so they are unable to see anything. 9 It is the same to them whether you warn them or you warn them not, they will not believe. 10 You can only warn him who follows the reminder and fears the Beneficent Allah in secret; so announce to him forgiveness and an honorable reward. 11 Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have enumerated in a clear register. 12
