Will you not understand? What, is he to whom We have promised a fair promise, and he receives it, like him to whom We have given the enjoyment of the present life, then he on the Resurrection Day shall be of those that are arraigned? 61 On the day when He will call to them – He will therefore proclaim, “Where are those partners of Mine, whom you had assumed?” 62 Those against whom the Word is realized they shall say, 'Our Lord, those whom we perverted, we perverted them even as we ourselves erred. We declare our innocence unto Thee; it was not us that they were serving.' 63 It shall be said, 'Call you now upon your associates!' And they will call upon them, but they shall not answer them, and they shall see the chastisement-ah, if they had been guided! 64 And on that Day He will call unto them, and will ask: "How did you respond to My message bearers?" 65 Upon that day the tidings will be darkened for them, nor will they ask each other. 66 But as for him who repented (from polytheism and sins, etc.), believed (in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messenger Muhammad SAW), and did righteous deeds (in the life of this world), then he will be among those who are successful. 67 And thy Lord createth whatsoever He listeth and chooseth; no choice is to be for them. Hallowed be Allah and exalted above that which they associate! 68 And your Lord knows what is hidden in their breasts, and what they disclose. 69 And He is Allah – there is no God except Him; only His is the praise in this world and in the Hereafter; and only His is the command, and it is towards Him that you will be returned. 70 Ask them, "Tell me, if God were to extend perpetual night over you till the Day of Judgement, is there any deity other than God that could bring you light? Will you not listen?" 71 Say thou: bethink ye, if Allah made day continuous for you till the Day of Resurrection, what god is there beside Allah, who would bring you night wherein ye have repose? Behold ye not? 72 Of His mercy He has appointed for you night and day, for you to repose in and seek after His bounty, that haply you will be thankful.' 73 Upon the day when He shall call. to them, and He shall say, 'Where now are My associates whom you were asserting?' 74 And We will draw forth from among every nation a witness and say: Bring your proof; then shall they know that the truth is Allah's, and that which they forged shall depart from them. 75
