Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
O THOU human being! 1 I swear by the Quran full of wisdom 2 That you are indeed one of those sent 3 on a Straight Way, 4 with a revelation sent down by the Mighty One, the Merciful, 5 That you may warn a people whose ancestors had never been warned, who are therefore heedless. 6 Surely most of them merit the decree of chastisement; so they do not believe. 7 We have indeed put shackles around their necks reaching up to the chins, so they remain facing upwards. 8 And We have put a barrier before them, and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up, so that they cannot see. 9 The same is it to them whether thou admonish them or thou do not admonish them: they will not believe. 10 You can warn only those who would follow the Reminder and fear the Gracious God, unseen. Give them the good news of forgiveness and a noble reward. 11 Verily We! We shall quicken the dead. And We write down that which they send before and their footsteps. And everything We have counted up in a Book luminous. 12
