And a sign to them is the dead earth: We give life to it and bring forth from it grain so they eat of it. 33 and We made therein gardens of palms and vines, and therein We caused fountains to gush forth, 34 that they might eat of its fruits. It was not their hands that made them. Will they not, then, give thanks? 35 All glory to Him who created pairs of everything that grows from the earth, and out of themselves, and other things they do not know. 36 And a sign to them is the night: We draw forth from it the day, then lo! they are in the dark; 37 While the sun keeps revolving in its orbit. This is the dispensation of the mighty, all-knowing (God). 38 And We have appointed positions for the moon till it returns like an old branch of the date palm. 39 Neither does it lie in the sun's power to overtake the moon nor can the night outstrip the day. All glide along, each in its own orbit. 40 Another sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden Ark. 41 And We have created for them similar (vessels) on which they ride. 42 and if We will, We drown them, then none have they to cry to, neither are they delivered, 43 except Our mercy which could enable them to enjoy themselves for an appointed time. 44 And when it is said to them, 'Fear what is before you and what is behind you; haply you will find mercy' -- 45 And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they are from it turning away. 46 And when it is said to them: Spend out of what Allah has given you, those who disbelieve say to those who believe: Shall we feed him whom, if Allah please, He could feed? You are in naught but clear error. 47 And they say: "When will this promise (i.e. Resurrection) be fulfilled, if you are truthful?" 48 They will not (have to) wait for aught but a single Blast: it will seize them while they are yet disputing among themselves! 49 and so [sudden will be their end that] no testament will they be able to make, - nor to their own people will they return! 50
