The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 By the angels reciting the praise. 3 surely your God is One, 4 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, and the Sustainer of all the points of sunrise! 5 Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars, 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment; 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 Ask them thou: are they stronger in structure or those others whom We have created? Verily We! We have created them of a sticky clay. 11 No, you marvel, while they scoff. 12 When they are reminded, they do not remember. 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 [It will be said], "This is the Day of Judgement which you have been denying." 21
