The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,- 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 Rather you are surprised, whereas they keep mocking. 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic! 15 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised (again)? 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 So it shall only be a single cry, when lo! they shall see. 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21
