The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars, 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 and are repelled. Theirs is an unceasing chastisement. 9 Except one who sometimes steals a part, so a blazing flame goes after him. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 Rather you are surprised, whereas they keep mocking. 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say: Aye! and you shall be abject. 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
