۞ But We shall say, "Assemble those who did wrong together with their associates and what they worshipped 22 “Instead of Allah – and herd them to the path leading to hell.” 23 and stop them there for questioning: 24 What aileth you that ye help not one another? 25 Nay, but that Day they shall surrender, 26 And they will approach one another blaming each other. 27 They said, “It is you who used to come to us from our right, in order to sway.” 28 They will say: nay! ye yourselves were not believers. 29 And we had over you no authority, but ye were a people exorbitant. 30 Now the Word of our Lord hath been fulfilled concerning us. Lo! we are about to taste (the doom). 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 Then lo! this day they (both) are sharers in the doom. 33 That is how We deal with sinners. 34 They were those who, when it was said to them, "There is no god but God," behaved with insolence, 35 and said: “Shall we forsake our deities for the sake of a distracted poet?” 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 Most surely you will taste the painful punishment. 38 And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do - 39 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 40 For them there will be a known provision (in Paradise). 41 Fruits; and they shall be honoured, 42 (They will live) in the bountiful gardens, 43 facing one another [in love] upon thrones of happiness. 44 A cup from a gushing spring is brought round for them, 45 white, sparkling (wine), a delight to the drinkers. 46 No headiness there shall be therein, nor shall they be therewith inebriated. 47 and with them wide-eyed maidens restraining their glances 48 like closely guarded pearls. 49 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 who used to ask, 'Do you really believe that 52 "(That) when we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed (be raised up) to receive reward or punishment (according to our deeds)?" 53 He said: 'Will you look down?' 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He said: "By Allah! thou wast little short of bringing me to perdition! 56 Had it not been for the grace of my Lord I too would have been there (in Hell). 57 Then he will say [to his blessed companions], "Are we not going to die, 58 "Except our first death, and that we shall not be punished?" 59 Verily this! that is the supreme achievement. 60 for which one must strive hard. 61 Is that better by way of hospitality or the Zaqqum tree, 62 Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers. 63 for, behold, it is a tree that grows in the very heart of the blazing fire [of hell,] 64 and its fruits are like the heads of devils. 65 So indeed they will eat from it, and fill their bellies with it. 66 then on top of it they have a brew of boiling water, 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 They found their father going astray 69 Yet they hasten to follow in their footsteps. 70 And indeed before them, most of the former people went astray. 71 and We sent among them warners; 72 Then see what was the end of those who were admonished (but heeded not),- 73 Other than the chosen creatures of God. 74
