1/2 Hizb 45

۞ [And God will thus command:] "Assemble all those who were bent on evildoing, together with others of their ilk and [with] all that they were wont to worship 22 besides God, and show them the way of hell. 23 "But stop them, verily they are to be questioned. 24 'But what is the matter with you that you cannot help one another?,'" 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 And they will turn to one another and question one another. 27 They shall say: Surely you used to come to us from the right side. 28 They will answer, “You yourselves did not have faith!” 29 And we had over you no authority, but ye were a people exorbitant. 30 So the sentence of our Lord has come to pass against us: (now) we shall surely taste; 31 Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray. 32 On that Day, they will all share the chastisement. 33 Lo! thus deal We with the guilty. 34 For they, when they were told that there is no god except Allah, would puff themselves up with Pride, 35 and said: “Shall we forsake our deities for the sake of a distracted poet?” 36 No, indeed, he has brought the truth, and confirmed the Messengers. 37 you shall surely taste the painful punishment, 38 And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do - 39 But Allah's chosen servants (shall be spared this woeful end). 40 For them is a known sustenance, 41 Fruits; and they will be honoured. 42 In the Gardens of delight, 43 on couches facing each other. 44 Round shall be passed a cup unto them filled with limpid drink: 45 clear, delightful to those who drink it: 46 No headiness there shall be therein, nor shall they be therewith inebriated. 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 like closely guarded pearls. 49 They will turn to each other and ask questions. 50 One of them will say, "I had a companion who asked me, 51 Who used to say: 'Are you one of those who can testify to the truth? 52 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then be certainly brought to judgment? 53 He said (to others on the thrones), “Will you take a glimpse (into hell) below?” 54 Then he will look downwards, and will see him in the depths of Hell. 55 He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 But for the Favor of Allah I should have surely been among those who were arraigned (with you in Hell). 57 Then he will say [to his blessed companions], "Are we not going to die, 58 Save our first death, and are we not to be tormented? 59 Truly, this is a great victory!" 60 For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 We have made this (tree) a trial for the evildoers. 63 Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-fire, 64 its spathes are as the heads of Satans, 65 The dwellers of hell will eat that fruit and fill-up their bellies. 66 Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water. 67 Then to Hell they will surely be returned. 68 They had indeed found their forefathers astray. 69 So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps! 70 Thus, indeed, most of the people of old went astray before them, 71 and We sent among them warners; 72 See then the end of those who were warned, 73 Save the bondmen of Allah sincere. 74
