Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Gross rivalry diverts you, 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 You will surely see the Hellfire. 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
