۞ "Bring ye up", it shall be said, "The wrong-doers and their wives, and the things they worshipped- 22 Instead of Allah, and lead them to the path to hell; 23 and detain them there; they will be called to account. 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 Indeed, today they are surrendering themselves completely.” 26 And some of them shall advance towards others, questioning each other. 27 They shall say: Surely you used to come to us from the right side. 28 They will say, "No! It was you who would not believe -- 29 And we had no authority over you, but you were an inordinate people; 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 So then, [if it be true that] we have caused you to err grievously - behold, we ourselves had been lost in grievous error!" 32 So this day they all are partners in the punishment. 33 Verily We! in this wise We deal with the culprits. 34 for, behold, whenever they were told, "There is no deity save God," they would glory in their arrogance 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 Nay, but he brought the Truth, and he confirmed those sent (before him). 37 Verily ye are going to taste a torment afflictive. 38 You will only be recompensed according to your deeds.” 39 But for the sincere worshipers of Allah, 40 for them awaits a known provision, 41 fruits -- and they high-honoured 42 (They will live) in the bountiful gardens, 43 On thrones facing one another. 44 There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring, 45 clear, delightful to those who drink it: 46 there is neither sickness in it, nor intoxication. 47 And besides them will be chaste women, restraining their glances, with big eyes (of wonder and beauty). 48 As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded. 49 Then one turned to the other in an enquiry. 50 A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth] 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 After we are dead and have become all dust and bones shall we still be requited?' 53 (A voice) said: "Would ye like to look down?" 54 And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire. 55 and says: "By God! Verily, thou hast almost destroyed me [too, O my erstwhile companion] 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I should certainly have been among those brought (there)! 57 So, are we not going to die, 58 Other than our first death, and we shall not be punished? 59 Lo! this is the supreme triumph. 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is that better as a hospitality, or the Tree of Ez-Zakkoum? 62 Truly We have made it (as) a trail for the Zalimun (polytheists, disbelievers, wrong-doers, etc.). 63 Verily it is a tree that springeth forth in the bottom of Flaming Fire. 64 Its spathes are like the prickly pear. 65 Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then they will have on top of it a mixture of boiling water. 67 then their return is to Hell. 68 They had indeed found their forefathers astray. 69 So they hastily follow their footsteps! 70 And indeed most of the men of old went astray before them; 71 We had certainly sent warners to them. 72 See how those who were warned met their end! 73 Other than the chosen creatures of God. 74
