1/2 Hizb 45

۞ "Bring ye up", it shall be said, "The wrong-doers and their wives, and the things they worshipped- 22 besides God, and lead them to the path of the Fire; 23 "But stop them, verily they are to be questioned. 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 No indeed; but today they resign themselves in submission 26 and approach each other with questions, 27 They said, “It is you who used to come to us from our right, in order to sway.” 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 "Nor had we any authority over you. Nay, it was ye who were a people in obstinate rebellion! 30 So the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment]. 31 we perverted you, indeed, we were perverts' 32 On that day they will all share the torment. 33 Thus do We treat the culprits. 34 When they were told, "There is no deity but God," they turned away with disdain, 35 And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet? 36 Nay, but he [whom you call a mad poet] has brought the truth; and he confirms the truth of [what the earlier of God's] message-bearers [have taught]. 37 You shall certainly taste the painful punishment: 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 Except the chosen creatures of God, 40 For them is a Sustenance determined, 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 In gardens of pleasure 43 facing one another [in love] upon thrones of happiness. 44 Round shall be passed a cup unto them filled with limpid drink: 45 White, a pleasure unto the drinkers. 46 Neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating, 47 And with them will be mates of modest gaze, most beautiful of eye, 48 As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded. 49 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. 50 One of them will say, "I had a companion who asked me, 51 who would say, "Are you a confirmer? 52 Shall we be recompensed for our deeds after we die and become bones and dust? 53 He said (to others on the thrones), “Will you take a glimpse (into hell) below?” 54 Then he will look and see him in the midst of the Fire. 55 And he will say: by Allah, thou hadst wellnigh causedest me to perish. 56 And but for the favour of my lord, I should have been of those brought forward. 57 He will ask his companion, "Did you not say that there would only be one death 58 except for our first death, and are we not chastised? 59 This will indeed be great happiness. 60 For the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is this not a better reward than the tree of Zaqqum 62 Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. 63 It is a tree that grows from the bottom of Hell; 64 its fruit [as repulsive] as satans' heads; 65 on it they shall feed, and with it they shall fill their bellies. 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 then their return is unto Hell. 68 Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path; 69 and they are running in their footsteps. 70 Most of the ancient people had also gone astray. 71 And We had already sent among them warners. 72 and behold what happened in the end to those that had been warned [to no avail]! 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74
