۞ Gather together the evildoers, their wives, and that they were worshipping, 22 Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire 23 “And stop them – they are to be questioned.” 24 What aileth you that ye succour not one another? 25 Nay, but that day they shall submit (to Judgment); 26 and approach each other with questions, 27 They said, “It is you who used to come to us from our right, in order to sway.” 28 They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers. 29 We had no authority over you, in fact, you were a rebellious people. 30 But now our Sustainer's word has come true against us [as well]: verily, we are bound to taste [the fruit of our sins]. 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 On that day they will all share the torment. 33 As such We shall deal with the evildoers. 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 and said, "Should we give up our idols for the sake of an insane poet". 36 Nay, but he brought the Truth, and he confirmed those sent (before him). 37 You will indeed taste a painful punishment, 38 And you shall not be rewarded except (for) what you did. 39 Save single-minded slaves of Allah; 40 Those! theirs shall be a provision known: 41 fruits -- and they high-honoured 42 In Gardens of Felicity, 43 seated on couches, facing one another. 44 Round them will be passed a cup of pure wine; 45 White, a pleasure unto the drinkers. 46 Neither does it intoxicate, nor give a headache. 47 And with them are those who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, the maidens with gorgeous eyes. 48 As though they were eggs hidden. 49 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 who used to say: -- Are you also one of those who confirm the Truth (of life after death)? 52 "'When we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed receive rewards and punishments?'" 53 Allah will say: will ye look down? 54 He looked down and saw (his friend) in the midst of Hell. 55 'By God', he said, 'you had almost ruined me. 56 But for the Favor of Allah I should have surely been among those who were arraigned (with you in Hell). 57 He will ask his companion, "Did you not say that there would only be one death 58 "Except our first death, and we shall not be punished? (after we have entered Paradise)." 59 Verily this is the supreme achievement! 60 For the like of this, then, let them labour, those who labour [in God's way]! 61 Is this not a better reward than the tree of Zaqqum 62 Verily We! We have made it a temptation for the wrong-doers. 63 Verily it is a tree that springeth forth in the bottom of Flaming Fire. 64 and its fruits are like the heads of devils. 65 Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 Then their return will be to the same blazing Hell. 68 Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path; 69 So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps. 70 And indeed most of the men of old went astray before them; 71 though We had sent among them warners. 72 and behold what happened in the end to those that had been warned [to no avail]! 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74
