۞ (God will command the angels), "Gather together the unjust, their spouses, and what they had worshipped 22 Besides Allah, then lead them to the way to hell. 23 and halt them [there]!" [And then,] behold, they shall be asked, 24 What aileth you that ye succour not one another? 25 In fact this day they have all surrendered. 26 and advance one upon another, asking each other questions. 27 They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right." 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 We had no power over you. You were a rebellious people, 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 So then, [if it be true that] we have caused you to err grievously - behold, we ourselves had been lost in grievous error!" 32 On that day they will all share the torment. 33 Surely thus do We deal with the guilty. 34 They were those who, when it was said to them, "There is no god but God," behaved with insolence, 35 And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet? 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 (They will be told): “You shall taste the grievous chastisement. 38 And you will be requited nothing except for what you used to do (evil deeds, sins, and Allah's disobedience which you used to do in this world); 39 But for the sincere worshipers of Allah, 40 For them there is a known provision, 41 fruits. And they are receivers of generosity 42 In Gardens of Felicity, 43 (Sitting) on couches, face to face, 44 With cups from a flowing stream being passed around, 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated. 47 And with them will be mates of modest gaze, most beautiful of eye, 48 As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected. 49 Then they will advance unto each other, mutually questioning. 50 One of them will say: 'I had a companion 51 'Do you believe in the Day of Judgment? 52 That when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed?'" 53 Allah will say: will ye look down? 54 He looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 And he will say: by Allah, thou hadst wellnigh causedest me to perish. 56 Had it not been for the grace of my Lord I too would have been there (in Hell). 57 Is it then that we are not going to die, 58 and that we would not be punished?" 59 This will indeed be great happiness. 60 For the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive. 61 Is this better or the tree of Zaqqum 62 We have made this tree a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-fire, 64 Its spathes are like the prickly pear. 65 And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith. 66 Then on top of it they will have a brew of boiling water. 67 Then most surely their return shall be to hell. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 But they make haste (to follow) in their footsteps. 70 Before them a multitude of people of olden times had erred, 71 and We sent among them warners; 72 So behold what wise hath been the end of those who were warned. 73 Not so the chosen servants of God. 74
