1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Muster those who did evil, their wives, and that they were serving, 22 Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire 23 And detain them, for they will be questioned." 24 'Why do you not help one another? 25 No indeed; but today they resign themselves in submission 26 They will turn to each other saying, 27 Some [of them] will say: "Behold, you were wont to approach us [deceptively] from the right!" 28 They will say: “Nay, you yourselves were not the ones who would believe. 29 And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people. 30 Thus, the words of Our Lord about us have come true and now we are suffering the torment. 31 We led you astray as we were ourselves astray." 32 On that Day they will all share the punishment: 33 That is how We deal with sinners. 34 Indeed, when it was said to them, “There is no God except Allah”, they were haughty. 35 and said: “Shall we forsake our deities for the sake of a distracted poet?” 36 In fact, he had brought them the truth and had acknowledged the Messengers (who were sent before him). 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 but you shall not be recompensed except for what you were doing. 39 Save the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 40 For them there will be a known provision (in Paradise). 41 a variety of delicious fruits; and they shall be honoured 42 In gardens of pleasure 43 facing one another [in love] upon thrones of happiness. 44 Round them will be passed a cup of pure wine; 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 Wherein there is no headache nor are they made mad thereby. 47 And with them will be chaste females, restraining their glances (desiring none except their husbands), with wide and beautiful eyes. 48 As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected. 49 They will turn to each other and ask questions. 50 One of them speaks thus: "Behold, I had [on earth] a close companion 51 "Who used to say, 'what! art thou amongst those who bear witness to the Truth (of the Message)? 52 That when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed?'" 53 He saith: Will ye look? 54 He will look down and see him in hell. 55 He will say to his friend in hell, "By God, you almost destroyed me. 56 Had it not been for the grace of my Lord I too would have been there (in Hell). 57 "Is it (the case) that we shall not die, 58 "Except our first death, and we shall not be punished? (after we have entered Paradise)." 59 Truly, this is the supreme success! 60 For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work. 61 Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum? 62 We have made this (tree) a trial for the evildoers. 63 (Zaqqum) is a tree which grows from the deepest part of hell, 64 and its fruits are like devils' heads. 65 And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith. 66 Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water. 67 then their return is unto Hell. 68 They found their fathers had gone astray; 69 So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps! 70 Before them a multitude of people of olden times had erred, 71 though We had sent among them warners. 72 See then the end of those who were warned, 73 except for the chosen servants of Allah? 74

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
