Those who expend their wealth night and day, secretly and in public, their wage awaits them with their Lord, and no fear shall be on them, neither shall they sorrow. 274 Those who swallow down usury cannot arise except as one whom Shaitan has prostrated by (his) touch does rise. That is because they say, trading is only like usury; and Allah has allowed trading and forbidden usury. To whomsoever then the admonition has come from his Lord, then he desists, he shall have what has already passed, and his affair is in the hands of Allah; and whoever returns (to it)-- these are the inmates of the fire; they shall abide in it. 275 Allah effaces usury and nurtures charity. Allah does not love any ungrateful sinner. 276 Verily those who believe and work righteous works and establish prayer and give the poor-rate, theirs shall be their hire with their Lord: no fear shall come on them nor shall they grieve. 277 O Ye who believe: fear Allah and leave that which remainoth of usury if ye are believers. 278 But if you do not, then take notice that God shall war with you, and His Messenger; yet if you repent, you shall have your principal, unwronging and unwronged. 279 And if someone is in hardship, then [let there be] postponement until [a time of] ease. But if you give [from your right as] charity, then it is better for you, if you only knew. 280 And fear the Day whereon ye shall be brought back unto Allah, then shall each soul be repaid in full that which he hath earned, and they shall not be wronged. 281
